Internet history in the world

Networks began to be built in the 60s and 70s, with much research on packet-switching, collision detection on local networks, network hierarchies and other communication techniques.
More and more are developing networks, but this is more and more differences and makes the network must stand alone can not connect between different types of networks. In order to network with various groups can not happen. There are many differences from interfaces, applications, and protocols.

This situation began in the 70s by the American research group of the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA). They love about internet working, but there are also other organizations that are also incorporated like ITU-T (by the name of CCITT) and ISO. The purpose of this research is the protocol, so different applications can run even on different systems.

The group, previously called the ARPANET network research group, held a meeting in October 1971. Then DARPA spent research on host-to-host protocols using TCP / IP, around 1978. Early Internet implementation in 1980, where ARPANET used TCP / I P. In 1983, DARPA decided that all computers connected to ARPANET were using TCP / IP.

DARPA connects Bolt, Beranek, and Newman (BBN) to build TCP / IP for Berkeley UNIX at the University of California at Berkeley, for source code development along with Berkeley Software Development (BSD) system, in 1983 (4.2BSD). Since then, TCP / IP has become well-known across universities and research bodies and has become the standard protocol for communication.
